Kindness towards Neurodiversity

Avnish Tiwari was abandoned by his birth parents as he had Down’s Syndrome, until Aditya, his now adoptive father, decided to shake the system and adopt Avnish by defying adoption laws in India, which don’t permit unmarried men to adopt. A TED speaker and global shaper at the World Economic Forum, Aditya’s work led to significant changes in Indian adoption laws and the banning of a child trafficking organization, saving thousands of children. At 28, he became the youngest single parent in India to adopt a child with Down syndrome, a milestone that inspired many.

Due to Aditya’s unique nurturing, Avnish has won two national awards, over 35 excellence awards, and was the winner at the 5th edition of The Restore Awards®. Aditya volunteers with NGOs, and they were invited to the UN in Geneva and the World Economic Forum in Davos for their work on SDG implementation for special needs communities. They are committed to the Kindness Practice Foundation to create awareness on Neurodiversity.

Aditya is a passionate social reformer, disability rights activist, and change maker, committed to improving the lives of individuals with special needs and orphaned children.
