Cancer Camps
Funded by Tourism Finance Corporation India. Aligns with Goal 3 of UNSGD.

- In 2020, India had 1.38 million new cancer cases, which is 7.5% of the world’s new cancer cases. In 2040, India’s cancer cases are projected to increase by 57.5%.
- India is the third largest country in terms of the number of cancer cases after China and the United States of America.In terms of cancer-related deaths, India ranks second after China.
- Our cancer programs aim to reduce rising burden with awareness, early diagnostics and prevention.
Prevention, awareness and early diagnostics can save lives. With this mission as the background, the Prevent Cancer Camps project was awarded to the Kindness to conduct 10 cancer camps two year period across the country in villages, destitute homes, schools, slums to create awareness, prevention and early diagnostics, as that saves lives.

Cancer Conferences
The Cancer Summit in Partnership with SL Raheja Hospital was part funded by Rotary Club Bombay Bandra (RCBB). Aligns with Goal 3 of UNSGD.
Oncologists, surgeons and cancer experts came together to create awareness about preventing and treating cancer. Post diagnosis, patients and families fear the unknown. With the right information dissemination, this fear can be reduced and treatment can be enhanced to increase survival rates for cancer patients. Dr Prasad Kasbekar, surgical oncologist, Dr Bharat Bhosale, senior oncologist, Dr Rachna Chhachhi, integrative cancer expert and Dr Reiyal Goveas, reconstructive surgeon helped the audience understand the various stages of healing cancer and how it is not just limited to getting surgery and chemotherapy done.


The summit had patient breast cancer case studies and patients as speakers, warriors as speakers. Emphasis on combination of conventional medical treatment and onco-nutrition was reinforced by oncologists and integrative experts alike. The summit was attended by cancer patients, cancer associations, from across the country. In totality, over 200 people attended in person and via zoom and the event was broadcast to 600,000 people across the country to create awareness about cancer.
